TrainSignal Microsoft 2007 Spatial Planning with Ms Visio 2007 Training  : آموزش ويزو 2007 از مؤسسه آموزشی ترين سيگنال. به بیان ساده visio یک ابزار دیاگرام کشی برای متخصصان در امر تجارت و بسياری ديگر است كه نياز به كشيدن يك نموار يا دياگرام دارند. هر چند که visio نمودارهای سازمانی را سریعا ایجاد می کند ولی این امر یکی از قابلیت های سطحی ان محسوب می شود. لیست زیر برخی ا ز کارهایی است که می توان با visioانجام داد:
1-گزارش در مورد داده‌ها
با استفاده از visio می‌توان داده‌ها را در یک ترسیم ذخیره کرد و بعدا داده‌ها را گزارش‌گیری کرد. فرض کنیم شما طراحی یک دفتر کار را انجام می دهید که شامل دیوار‌های مکعبی , اثاثیه , مبلمان اداری و تجهیزات تلفن و کامپیوتر است. شما می‌توانید هر تکه از مبلمان و تجهیزات اداری را با داده‌هایی نظیر شماره ساختمان, مالک و محل جاری ذخیره کنید. هر شکل از تجهیزات کامپیوتری می‌تواند حاوی داده‌هایی برای سازنده  پیکر بندی سخت افزار و ادرس اینترنتی ان باشد . از این ترسیم می توانید گزارشهایی در مورد خصوصیت, ساخت و محل شکل تولید کنید .
2- تولید ترسیم ها از داده‌ها
بر خلاف ویژگی قبل اگر تولید ترسیم ها از داده های موجود امکان پذیر باشد عالی نیست؟ با visio این کار امکان پذیر است . فرض کنیم داده‌هایی در مورد کارکنان سازمان دارید ( نام - عنوان - سایر موارد ) در یک فایل صفحه گسترده یا به صورت متن ذخیره شده اند . شما می توانید به طور خودکار با استفاده از visio از این داده ها نمودار سازمانی ایجاد کنید .
3- استفاده از فوق پیوندها
اغلب مواقع  نمی‌توانید همه اطلاعات لازم جهت بیان منظور خود را به یک ترسیم انتقال دهید . شاید بخواهید خواننده را به یک ترسیم دیگر , یک وب سایت یا سند دیگری ارجاع دهید که اطلاعات مربوطه را دارد . با visio می توانید فوق پیوندها را به یک ترسیم یا شکل اضافه کنید . این ویژگی برای سرهم بندی اطلاعات جهت نمایش یک تصویر جامع مفید نیست .
4- استفاده از ویژگی drill-down
سریعا از یک ترسیم کلی به یک ترسیم جزیی رفته و مجددا بر می گردید . مثلا می توانید یک نقشه کلی از شبکه جهانی کامپیوتری بکشید و روی نام شهر دابل کلیک کنید تا ترسیمی از شبکه کامپیوتری ان را مشاهده کنید . این ویژگی drill-down به این دلیل امکان پذیر است که visio به شما امکان می دهد زمان دابل کلیک یک شکل , رفتار آن را تعریف کنید .
عملکرد های چند محیطی موثر visio با سایر برنامه‌ها:
1-اشکال - صوت - عکس و ... را می توانیم به ترسین visio وارد کنیم .
2- ترسیم ها- دیاگرام ها و نمودارها را درvisio ایجاد کنید که بعدا قابل صدور به برنامه هایی نظیر powerpoint مایکروسافت , Exel مایکروسافت , Word مایکروسافت و Access مایکروسافت هستند .
3- ترسیم های visio را به عنوان فایل های HTML ذخیره کرده و انها را بر روی اینترنت upload  کنید یا ترسیم های visio  را به صفحات وب ضمیمه کنید .
